The Hidden Jewel, Nusa Penida
Bali, a small paradise located in Indonesia is one of the hottest destinations in Asia. Being well known for its unique culture and beautiful scenery, makes Bali becomes a perfect place to relax. Traveling through the endless beaches of Bali while sipping coconut water is absolutely something to yearn for. Visiting the Bali Zoo, doing various water sports, having a soothing spa or just lazing around the beach is something that you wouldn’t want to miss.
Aside from the mainland, Bali also has several islands. These islands are surely refreshing yet pleasurable. During the holiday season, Bali will be loaded with both local and international tourists. Rather than being packed in the mainland, enjoying your time in the surrounding islands is certainly a better option.
Running through the shady shore under the coconut tree, enjoying the sea breeze as the “vitamin sea” relaxes your mind is always at your service in Nusa Penida island. This island is located in the southeast part of Bali. Nusa Penida Island offers various nature spots, such as Crystal Bay, Tembeling Natural Spring, Paluang Shrine, Pasih Uug, Giri Putri Cave, Volcom Beach, Kelingking Beach, Angel’s Billabong, Teletubbies Hill, Atuh Beach, Pet Shrine, Peguyangan and Seganing Waterfall.
Recently my Instagram feed was filled with thousand photos of the dinosaurs-cliff-like beach. It turns out that the pictures were taken in Nusa Penida Island. It is the Kelingking Beach which has a cliff that looks like a roaring T-rex. Green meadow fills every corner of the peak area making it looks extra refreshing.
After enjoying the view from the top, walking down the track would be another exciting challenge. Although it takes a lot of energy going through the steps it will all return after you see how satisfying your photos are. As you accomplished the challenge, white smooth sand and clear turquoise water warmly welcomed you.
Kelingking Beach in Nusa Penida Island is a stress-free island which will bring you an enjoyable moment. So what are you waiting for? Let’s pack your bags and experience this hidden jewel’s beauty. (Helen Kristin)
